The QBC STAR™ features simple, one button operation and provides accurate reads without the need for calibration. Its unique blood collection tubes are internally coated with all necessary stains and reagents and are easily filled with just 65µL of blood from finger sticks, heel sticks, or venous draws. The QBC centrifuge rotates the tube at 11,000 RPM for approximately 5 minutes.
This system is fully automated and so easy to operate that even with minimal training, non-technical personnel can operate it. The operating procedure involves filling the tube with the blood samples, placing it in the specially designed QBC STAR™ System and obtaining the test results after the analysis is complete.
