Product Feature: QBC AutoRead Plus Technology by Drucker Diagnostics

The Dry Hematology System

The dry methodology of the QBC test is based on optical linear measurements of the distinct layers of packed blood cells in a microhematocrit type tube. The cell layering results from density gradients formed during high speed centrifugation of the blood. Nine primary hematology values including the platelet count are derived. Tests are entirely automatic, requiring only that the operator prepare the sample tube and insert it into the autoread reader. Centrifuge time is approximately 5 minutes with an additional 1 and a half minutes to read and analyze depending on the software version.
