UniCel DxI 800 Immunoassay System - Reliable and Easy To Use

UniCel DxI 800 Immunoassay SystemClinical laboratories of all sizes are under ever-increasing pressure to provide broader test menus, rapid test turnaround times and optimal workflow with reduced human intervention. Designed for the needs of mid- to high-volume laboratories, the UniCel DxI 800 immunoassay system meets various throughput needs with streamlined sample handling. Featuring high throughput, reduced maintenance, and intuitive controls to improve lab efficiency, this analyzer can be easily operated by technologists of all skill levels.

This Beckman Coulter immunoassay analyzer offers a throughput of up to 400 tests per hour in a random access, fully automated system. It provides fast and accurate results with proven chemiluminescent technology while utilizing the same reagent packs and the same protocols. Its automatic reflex capability eliminates the task of tracking down sample tubes and reloading them. Key features include -

  • Radiofrequency sensors on the sample probe alert operators to short samples
  • Reagent packs that are compatible with all other Access immunoassay systems
  • Barcoded, liquid, ready-to-use reagents that can be loaded on the system quickly and easily
  • Maximize walk-away time with large onboard supply capacity
  • Radio-frequency sensors on the sample probe that alert operators to short samples

The efficient reagent system holds 50 self-sealing reagent packs, which offers the flexibility to configure the system menu to match unique testing requirements. Operators can load up to four reagent packs at a time without touching the system console.

The system delivers up to three hours of walk away operation and maintains stored reagents in an onboard refrigerator, preserving reagent stability up to labeled expirations dates. Its indicator lights alert operators to system status and a pictogram shows which supplies need replenishment. With an extensive menu across a wide variety of disease states, UniCel DxI Access immunoassay system enables laboratories to consolidate workstations.

To meet the increased requirements in labs, Beckman Coulter also provides a Power Link system, which links the AU680 chemistry system and the UniCel DxI immunoassay system into an entry-level automated system that can meet the needs of medium- to high-volume laboratories. This system offers a flexible, single-specimen workflow, eliminating the complexity and bottlenecks of aliquotting or rack-based systems. Its advanced, rules-based sample and data management capabilities help to increase labor savings and ease of service.
