New Laboratory Equipment

We want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase from Block Scientific. We stand firmly behind every product we supply. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it to us 30 days from the date of receipt of the product. We accept the return of all new items (refurbished equipment sales are final) as allowed by the manufacturer and in accordance with the return processes outlined below.

  • Block charges a 30% restocking fee, plus cost of shipping. See Return FAQs below for detailed information.

  • Refurbished, used, and “as-is” sales are FINAL and not qualified for return unless otherwise arranged in the terms and conditions at the time of sale.

  • Block Scientific reserves the right to only process qualifying returns following the Block Scientific Return Process detailed below.

  • Block Scientific reserves the right to remedy any order errors made by Block Scientific or its vendors. If the error cannot be resolved within a commercially reasonable timeframe, Block Scientific shall issue a Return Material Authorization (RMA) Number for the product return and payment refund.

  • Non-returnable items include: opened consumables, reagents, and perishables. Certain non-resealable items cannot be returned.

  • Returns of Custom Orders, as well as returns due to Buyer Requested Shipping Exceptions, MAY be subject to additional restocking fees, and may not qualify for return.

Return Process

  • Requests for product return must be made within 30 days from the date of receipt of the item.
  • To request a return, please contact customer service at customerservice@blockscientific.com to obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) Number. All returns must be made with a Block Scientific issued RMA Number.
  • Products must be received within 10 days of RMA Number issuance.
  • Merchandise must be returned complete, unused and in its original packaging.
  • A refund will be issued to the original credit card/account used at the time of purchase.

How do I receive an RMA?


Please contact Block Scientific customer service at customerservice@blockscientific.com to receive your RMA. The RMA will include instructions on returning your product.

Is there a restocking fee for returned items?


All returns are subject to a 30% restocking fee, plus cost of shipping.

Are shipping fees refundable?


Shipping fees are fully refundable to returns made as a result of Block Scientific or its vendor’s error. Shipping fees are NOT refundable for all other returns. The original outbound shipping is always paid for, either by the customer or by Block Scientific. Even if the invoice shows $0 for shipping, the original shipping was paid for and must be covered.

Does the return policy apply to both new and refurbished equipment?


This return policy applies to new equipment sales only. Refurbished equipment sales are final unless otherwise arranged at the time of sale. In general, refurbished equipment shall be subject to Block Scientific’s refurbished equipment warranty as specified in the terms and conditions of sale.
